The Canterville Ghost is iClassics Collection’s interactive adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s tale—an illustrated, animated reading where music and sound design respond to each page and gesture.
This was my second collaboration with iClassics. The story’s playful gothic tone naturally led me toward a Danny Elfman–tinged palette, balancing irony and darkness with a sense of fun.
I wrote a thematically rich, reactive score: an epic theme for the Ghost, a tender motif for Virginia, and a sarcastic music for the Otis family. Compared with iWilde Collection, we added interaction-driven layers at a new level that evolve with the reader’s actions, increasing complexity while keeping the narrative clear.
It remains one of my most personal interactive scores—music that breathes with the story and rewards every turn of the page.
