MARVEL VS DC IN CONCERT

This project marked a new collaboration with the Franz Schubert Filharmonia. After the success of The Best Disney Original Soundtracks—conducted by Marc Timón, where I had the pleasure to work as an orchestrator—Tomàs Grau suggested we take on Marvel vs DC. The challenge was immense: after an initial shortlist, we were staring at nearly six hours of music.

Bit by bit, we refined the program into a 70-minute journey designed to go beyond the obvious mainstream themes. We truly set out to create a one-of-a-kind concert: big hits alongside hidden gems, recent scores alongside classics—featuring composers such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Pinar Toprak, and Alan Silvestri. Audiences could hear pieces like “March of the Villains” (Superman), the main theme from Elektra, and driving selections from Hulk—works that are rarely programmed.

The orchestra lifted this music to the highest level, turning each concert into a vibrant, cinematic experience—on stage and in the hall. The premiere at the Palau de la Música Catalana was truly special and a beautiful way to make my debut in this incomparable venue—a chance to give back, in the form of a tribute, to the music that first inspired me when I was a child.
