OT CHRISTMAS GALA

Operación Triunfo (OT) is Spain’s landmark talent show, relaunched in 2023 on Prime Video. The Christmas Gala reunited the season’s artists for a special, on-demand celebration.

This project was carried out by a team of orchestrators that I had the pleasure to lead: Anna Campmany, Xavier Capellas, Nico Franza, and Antonio Zimmerman. Our creative aim was to elevate contemporary pop arrangements with a symphonic palette—hybrid scores that support the voices, add emotional breadth, and remain broadcast-ready within tight rehearsal windows.

Orchestrating for the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, under Tomàs Grau, is always a joy: whatever you transcribe, compose, or orchestrate grows in their hands. It’s the orchestra I’ve made the most music with, and I hold it in great esteem.

The gala streamed on Prime Video, within a season that amassed over 3.5 million estimated unique viewers in Spain across all OT 2023 content (14 weeks), with the November galas reaching 1.8 million unique viewers (10.5% of Prime Video users).
