Lost World Aquarium Dubai is an aquarium experience at Atlantis, The Palm, enhanced with an immersive storytelling layer. Visitors discover the mythical world of the lost city of Atlantis, guided by Poseidon and Koralia. It is a magical place designed to inspire both kids and adults to become guardians of the ocean and the spirit of Atlantis.
On this project, I took on several roles, collaborating from Entertainment Development with our friends at borabora studios (our third collaboration together). I joined the creative team responsible for the overall storytelling and the projection mapping content. In parallel, I led the audio and music direction, from early planning and production coordination, to contributing to composition work, and finally mixing on site.
The music, co-composed with Yulia Protasova, reinforces the experience’s emotional progression. It opens with a sense of mystery and tension as guests move through the first rooms (with darker guardians and creatures shaping the atmosphere). It then softens in spaces such as Reef of Life and Ocean’s Eye, before reaching the full scale and grandeur of Koralia’s Dream and Trident’s Wrath, where the immersive rooms become a first-class storytelling stage. The sound planning is designed so that overlapping music and soundscapes to interact harmonically, helping musical transitions blend naturally into the guest journey.
As part of the Atlantis, The Palm destination, the Lost World Aquarium sits inside one of Dubai’s most iconic tourism hubs, alongside a wider entertainment ecosystem that attracts international audiences year-round.
