iWilde Collection, Vol. 1 is an anthology of Oscar Wilde tales reimagined as an interactive reading: illustrated pages, subtle animation, and a music/sound layer that responds to touch and page flow.
This was my first project with iClassics. It marked a paradigm shift for me: under director David G. Forés, the brief was closer to a video game than to background music for reading. The challenge was obvious: game characters are fully controllable; readers’ pacing is not, so the score had to adapt elegantly to unpredictable timing.
We began with an R&D phase that produced concrete techniques: interaction-driven layers, state-based transitions, and parameter controls. The project required FMOD integration for real-time modulation, and it became the spark that later led me to the Park Scoring concept.
César Samaniego’s illustrations were a delight and set the tone for the experience. This title became the first of my three collaborations with iClassics Collection.
