Between Worlds...

Music and Themed Entertainment have been two passions that have intertwined throughout my life, becoming my professional path. I learned that having a vocation is one thing, but mastering skills is another. This understanding has led me to explore and grow in diverse fields, always driven by the desire to evolve and the honour of leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

One day, I replaced the phrase "I can't do this" with "I haven't done this yet," and that mindset allowed me to take part in incredible projects, always surrounded by brilliant creative teams.

Gerard Pastor's portrait. Smiling.

In the world of music, I’m proud of projects such as the album Femina Feminae, Sky: Children of the Light for Piano Solo, conducting the Marvel vs DC concerts with the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, and composing for the millennium mapping show at Montserrat. The cantata Tòtems for the Cantagran project at L’Auditori also remains one of my dearest musical memories.

First at Furius Show and later at Entertainment Development, I’ve served as a creative director, project manager, and general manager on projects for iconic venues such as Casa Batlló and Place Vendôme (Qatar). I’m proud to have contributed to Pop Land Beijing and Dr. Archibald (Hamburg), and to have composed music for Cube O (Hong Kong), Gate 99, and Erlebnispark Schloss Thurn. In 2016, I coined “Park Scoring” to describe music purpose-built for theme parks and themed entertainment experiences.

And no matter how many things I do… I’ll probably always be known as “the guy who composed the music for Furius Baco at PortAventura.
